The look and feel is the same as the surrounding carpet. In fact carpet cleaning cannot repair this type of damage only a trained and qualified carpet restorer or repairer can help you with this. Dip a clean white rag into the fabric dye. We can repair small or large bleach stains.

Mix tsp of mild dish soap with 1 cup of warm water. Choose one of the methods below. Since bleach strips the color from carpet fibers the most effective way to get a bleach stain out of a carpet is to act quickly when the spill occurs. Test the dye on a hidden area of the carpet to determine if it is a good color match.

Rinse the bleach stain using a sponge and warm water. Place the rag onto the bleach spot and press the rag down into the carpet fibers. Be careful not to scrub or rub the bleach as this could worsen the stain. Bleach stains or faded discolored spots on your carpet are a result of the carpet dye being removed not of something being deposited onto the carpet that could be removed as with other stains.

As soon as you notice the bleach stain immediately blot it with water and paper towel. Cut some carpet fibers from a hidden area of the floor. Let it sit for about 5 minutes then use a clean damp sponge dipped in cold water to blot the area. Technically bleach does not stain a carpet.

Instead it strips the dye out of the carpet fibers leaving a mark. However there are ways to repair the area without replacing an entire room of carpet. Repeat as necessary to achieve the correct intensity of color. Blot up the wet bleach with a cold damp towel then pour warm soapy water over the area.

The dye is permanent and will not come out with cleaning. Pour the solution over the bleach stain and let sit for about 5 minutes. Not all carpet cleaners can remove stains and very few can repair bleach spots. Take care not to soak the area with water as it will need to dry before you proceed.

Bleach spots create areas of yellow white or a much lighter version of the original dye on the carpet which can detract from the beauty of. A bleach spill on a carpet whether it be large or small leaves behind a telltale mark.
